Hi, I’m my name is Brett Wilson and I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If you’d like to learn more about the Church please visit www.comeuntochrist.org
This blog was inspired in part by loss, grief and a desire to come closer to Christ. It was also inspired by modern day prophets and the desire to combat sin, evil, and wickedness which seems all to familiar in todays world. So more good, seems better than standing still and watching the world morally decay.
I believe it was Edmund Burke that deservers credit for this quote…
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
And I cannot for one anymore do nothing, I testify that Christ lives and is the Savior of this world. Without him, all real hope is lost and salvation comes from Jesus and in no other way.
The name of this blog, was inspired by a conference talk I listened to. The word careful means “making sure of avoiding potential danger, mishap, or harm; cautious.” The word Christian, simply put, is a name given to believers in Jesus Christ, of which I am.
The logo for the blog was also partly inspired by this verse from the Bible…
12 ¶ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12
In case your wondering the Book of Mormon (the greatest book I’ve ever read) is named after the prophet/historian Mormon, so he was a real man that lived just like you and me only a long time ago.
As for myself, I was born in Cedar City, UT and grew up in St. George, UT. I served a mission for my church in the Toronto, Canada West Mission. I graduated from Dixie State College, as well as Southern Utah University (SUU) with a Bachelors in Physical Education and Masters Degree in Sports Conditioning and Performance. I currently live in Southern Utah where I teach school (PE & Health) to a bunch of fun loving 6th/7th graders. I love life, and my job. If you can’t find me teaching, or involved in church related activities I’ll most likely be in the hills photography birds, nature or chasing trophy Mule Deer with my camera.
